CENTRALIA, Wash. — Following the resignation of Commissioner Dan Keahey, the Port of Centralia sought interested candidates to fill his vacant Commission seat. Several local citizens showed interest in fulfilling this position and have submitted an application to the Port Commission for consideration.
The candidates are William Luond, Michael Mahoney, Kyle Markstrom, Richard Schnatterly, and Lindy Waring all of which are residents within Port Commissioner District 1 of Centralia, Washington.
Executive Director Kyle Heaton stated, “the Port Commission is pleased to receive this level of interest and qualified candidates as they move forward in the process to appoint a candidate to the fill the vacancy created by Commission Keahey’s resignation.” He continued “the Commissioners will move forward with the evaluation process with an eye towards making a final appointment at the August 19, 2020 meeting.”
