The Port of Centralia announced that it has completed a transaction with STIHL Northwest that will allow for a new 100,000-square-feet facility that will be constructed in the Port’s Park II development. STIHL Northwest’s 30 employees will transition to the new location, which will be expandable up to 240,000 square feet in future project phases. The company plans to add more employees as its needs grow.
Port of Centralia Commission President Julie Shaffley stated, “We are very pleased to welcome STIHL Northwest to the Port of Centralia. STIHL has been an active employer and supporter of charities in our community for over 40 years and we are thankful to retain such a quality global presence in Lewis County. The Port looks forward to a bright future working with them.”
STIHL Northwest, a division of STIHL Incorporated, is a wholesale distributor of forestry, lawn and garden power equipment. As one of 11 U.S. distributors of STIHL equipment, the Centralia facility will serve dealers in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska.
